Clinical studies for children with cancer
KiTZ Clinical Studies
For the children affected and their families, the diagnosis of cancer inevitably means a deep cut. But the chances of recovery are good in most cases: more than 80 percent of children and adolescents in Germany who are diagnosed with cancer can be successfully treated today. The prerequisite is age-appropriate, professional medical care.
New diagnostic and therapeutic approaches are needed to improve cure rates for childhood cancer and serious blood disorders and to reduce side effects and late effects. KiTZ pursues the vision of being able to offer personalized therapy to every young patient and is therefore conducting particularly intensive and extensive pediatric cancer research.
Our advisory videos „Cancer in Children Made Clear“ answers essential questions regarding children and cancer. The videos are available in German only.
